I have worked in helping professions for over 20 years; I value relationships and enjoy feeling connected when I’m working with other people, so training as a therapist was a natural step. Soon after I trained, I discovered a love for working with groups and trained in relationship therapy. Later I became a therapist supervisor and trained therapists for many years, to Bachelor’s degree level.
Today my focus is largely on community work, private therapeutic practice and supervision, but my love of teaching means that I continue to teach therapy-related courses on line and face to face. Take a look at courses to find out more.

As a fundamentally ethical approach, the person-centred approach aims to empower individuals to be authentically themselves. At the heart of the approach is a belief that no one person is more important or valuable than another. You are the only person with your experience, and while relationships are invaluable, no one knows your reality better than you. The foundation of the approach is belief in the potential of life – that given the right conditions, people develop in the best way possible. It is these conditions that a person-centred therapist aims to offer.
Facilitating this process is an incredible honour! I am fascinated by how courageous people can be – even (or arguably, especially) when they feel vulnerable. If you are unsure about whether this approach could be right for you, feel free to give me a call and we can discuss your needs and whether we can work together.
